This band is no more. They walked away on their terms because the time was right for their musical journey to come to a natural end.

Personally, I have a hard time knowing when I’ve come to the end of a chapter. I stall as I approach the last few paragraphs and start looking for hidden meanings in the words. I try to find something that doesn’t exist before turning the page and moving on to the next chapter because I’m afraid of the end and living up to the challenges of the next.

For me, it’s always greener on THIS side of the fence even though the grass that grows on either side usually gets the same water and sunlight. On the other side, however, there’s new land that remains to be explored.

This lyric is a tribute to a band that has helped me to understand the importance of closing chapters.

Enjoy and embrace the next chapter in your story…

When your day is long
And the night, the night is yours alone
When you’re sure you’ve had enough
Of this life, well hang on

Don’t let yourself go
‘Cause everybody cries
And everybody hurts sometimes

Sometimes everything is wrong
Now it’s time to sing along
When your day is night alone (Hold on, hold on)
If you feel like letting go (Hold on)
If you think you’ve had too much
Of this life, well hang on

Everybody hurts
Take comfort in your friends
Everybody hurts
Don’t throw your hand, oh no

Don’t throw your hand
If you feel like you’re alone
No, no, no, you are not alone

If you’re on your own in this life
The days and nights are long
When you think you’ve had too much of this life to hang on

Well, everybody hurts sometimes
Everybody cries
Everybody hurts sometimes
And everybody hurts sometimes

So hold on, hold on
Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on
Everybody hurts
